Research Resources

The Animas Museum offers a wide variety of resources for students, authors, genealogists, and all others interested in the history of La Plata County. Most of the resources are only available for viewing at the museum. However, some of our digital photos may be viewed online here. Included on this page you will also find links to resources from other institutions.

The Animas Museum charges the following research fees:

• Client does research: Museum admission (free for LPCHS members)
• Staff research: $15 per hour
• Xerox copies: $.25 each
